Editorial - Issue 2 (02)/2007

Some people believe in superstitions and consider 13 the number of bad luck, but I am not numbered among them and I have a privilege to ignore it. Therefore, I decided to write thirteen albums' reviews of artists from Lion Music's catalogue. That label seems to be a successor after legendary Shrapnel Records nowadays, so I will carry on supporting a Finnish company in the future for sure. You will also find other independent releases made by equally great instrumentalists who deserve your attention as well. It's the first time I take the opportunity of presenting so-called musicography to show you how specialists (musicologists) can describe music in analytical and detailed way. I have done it on the basis of grandiose Vitalij Kuprij's works and hope you enjoy my effort (and his music first and foremost!). It's also the first chance to publish my article on neoclassicism in hard'n'heavy music to share my opinions with you and initiate totally fresh attitude towards virtuosic music. You can count on more articles and musicographies in the future, but, at the moment, I would like you to have a peek at the names below and engross in their works after reading!
