As you can know, Mr. Pattison (guitars, bass guitar, programming) is in the habit of recording solo CDs alongside his chum - Bud Salvetti on drums. Additionally, aforesaid album was recorded with a guest appearance of Phil Bennett (keyboard solo on "The Inferno") and Doug Haffich (bass guitar on "The Music").
At the very beginnning, I'd like to write that some of the songs were featured on KSJO "The Mickey Show" in Northern California (used as a background music and bumpers). Beyond any question, Marc is still sticked with electronic guitar music, and that means it is wrapped up with digital quirkiness which distinguishes the music over many traditional guitar albums. Instrumental tapestry of the stuff is dyed with a rich colour, so listening to it is really amusing. One of Marc's advantage is his versatility and histrionic guitar playing. Here is also a classical smasher - Ludwig van Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata". Fortunately, Marc has managed to preserve its romanticism, loftiness, original greatness and inner warmth as well. A theoretical concepts out of Marc's mind have been effectively arranged and put on disc. Although its production is sleek, the sound is truly heavy, so you can find it very encouraging, haha.
We can wonder whether it is a step up in comparison to "Digital Destination", but don't get me wrong, Dear Readers! I don't suggest you anything, since you have to form your own opinion autonomously. In my opinion, "The Inferno" is more Vaish than Satrianish comparing to "Digital Destination". I can also classify the stuff as "electronica meets modern fusion". Maybe, Mr. Pattison will be renowned in his cunning style, and one of his compositions will become a golden oldie in the future? Who knows?
